Pollution caused by dioxins, endocrine disruptors and other toxic chemicals has imperiled not only humans, but also the survival of every living species on the planet. Those who suffer the most are wildlife and the children of future generations. Without even a voice, their births can be compromised, and their lives endangered.
To address this dire situation, concerned scientific experts, female lawyers, and citizens throughout Japan came together in 1998 to form JEPA (Japan Endocrine-disruptor Preventive Action). Their mission is to represent those without a voice, proposing to government necessary crisis prevention measures based on the precautionary principle.
